Aaand It's Done. But I'm Not.
All copies of ORIGINAL HATE are finally on their way & ARTISTS ELITE is here.
So I delayed this update since it was a Memorial day long weekend over here in the States, but the last of the ORIGINAL HATE books *finally* went to the post office last week. I gave up on the USPS and hired a driver ( mover?? ) to take them all. ( And I of course, helped lug them all ).
So, many of you who kindly grabbed a copy should actually have books in your mailboxes! ( I hope ) or certainly, by the end of the week. International, of course, a little longer, and you should all have tracking you can check in with. I’ve already found one got delivered in the UK while a Canadian one from the same batch is still waiting to leave customs. Which is quite insane. So times will vary.
So far only one replacement needed. Someone seems to have stomped on one and then twisted their foot on it, from the crazy photos I saw.
So if your copy is mangled, ( I mean be kind, there may be a ding here or there ) don't forget to send a photo to 78squidbookinfo@gmail.com and I'll get another one off to you.
HUGE thanks to everyone who grabbed one, for your patience on what should have been a much quicker project. ( Everything was fine except the extra month it basically took to get the funds hooked up to the bank account in the first place to do everything! ). I'm nothing without you guys and I love making books!
I'm now deep into work on my issue of SEANCE ROOM, which is slowly climbing to it's goal over on Ben Goldsmith's kickstarter. Here's a little taste.
If you're into otherworldly stuff where people confront their demons and stuff, you can grab copies here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1691575473/seance-room-volume-2
On top of that, it’s release day for Artistselitecomics.com PRIMER RED AND BLUE. A bit of a preview book of all the good stuff to come from Artist Elite Comics. Two books, completely different contents, with an overarching cover. Should be in stores this week.
And then the REAL stuff is to come, for me, with DARKSKULLS. My piss poor take on a gothy 90’s superhero team if I’d been around when Image Comics started up basically. Lots of skulls, snark, attempts at humour, powers and hitting things, with a bit of a mystery to unfold. If you can beg your retailers to order the main books to come, all us creatives trying to forge a non-corporate path would all greatly appreciate it.
Other than that, apart from my health issues and now living on bloody lentils and making sure I don’t keel over from a stroke, I'm thinking still on the next crowdfunding book, and probably going to get some printed samples, so I promise I won't bother you folks much anymore until it's fully formed and ready to roll.
Hail Squid!

Wish I could find a copy 😕
Received mine in the mail today. Absolutely perfect! The book and all of the extras were amazing and the bookplates were jaw dropping! I live a good hard bound comic. Keep making fantastic books and take my money Mr. Templesmith!
